  • Cayman Islands Supreme Court Re-instate $45M funds to offshore inheritance beneficiaries

    On 18th November The Cayman Islands Supreme Court has directed 2 offshore banking instituitions to reverse their decisions to confiscate held funds to the central bank. In light of these rulings, the affected offshore accounts are entitled to the recovery of the previously confiscated assets from their offshore inheritance accounts respectively, pursuant to the court's mandate. The National Service Credit Bank Union (NSCBU) and SCOTIA BANK has been duly instructed to promptly release the funds to the legally advocated offshore accounts of $16,000,000 that belongs to Ferenc Gyorgy Bardos, a Hungarian oil mogul and $29,000,000 in favor of Donald Lee Chang, an Indonesian gold merchant respectively.
